Project of strengthening ties between the Museum, historical vestiges and Tourism

The long time purpose of the project is to attract tourists toward the museums and the historical vestiges of the city of Hanoi, to transform the museums and the historical vestiges into current and attractive destinations for tourists, in order to realize efficiently the political purpose of the activities of cultural and historical propaganda of the museums and the vestiges of the city of Hanoi in the future.

The short-time purpose aims at developing measures of close ties between the museums and the vestiges with touristical activities, in particular with touristical companies in order to increase the attraction of tourists toward museums, vestiges, to increase the efficiency of the museums and vestiges for tourists, to contribute to the presentation of the vietnamese culture, to the re-investment of the material basis and of the services of museums and vestiges.

The project is concentrated on the following points of the contents:

– Invest, ameliorate or reconstruct museums according to the activities of the museums and the vestiges.

– Publish printed papers presenting the museums and the vestiges.

– Form, raise the professional level of the guides of the museums and the vestiges.

– Collect the opinions of the visitors of the museums and of the vestiges.

– Application of the informatic technology in the activity of the museums.

– Increase the publicity of the museums on the medias and through touristical enterprises.

– Diversify and increase the quality of service in the museums.

The project is a tie binding closely the branch of Tourism and that of Culture, in the unification of the policy, the orientations and the means of exploiting and attracting tourists toward the museums, the elevation of the quality and the efficiency of service for the visitors of the museums, as it ought to be for favourite places of tourists, which are always eager to discover the history and the culture of the visited lands.

The National Museum of Vietnamese History is the pioneer in the realization of the project of the Ministry, by the opening of the museum from 8h00 to 16h30 every day of the week. This decision gives to visitors more time to study vietnamese history and culture, and touristic companies can give to their tourists more time to visit museums.
