On the occasion of International Museums Day on May 18, 2023, International Association of Museums (ICOM) orientated museums towards their activities to the theme: “Museums, Sustainability and Well-being” (Museums, Sustainability and Wellbeing). In order to attract the public audience, especially young people, to pay more attention and take action to contribute to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Vietnamese ethnic groups in the 4.0 era. At the same time, to honor the cultural heritage values being kept and displayed at the museum; To further promote educational activities and experience cultural heritage between the Museum and the public audience, the Museum and schools, Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups organizes a number of educational activities and experiences as follows:
- Experiencing the application of 4.0 technology in researching and exploiting cultural information of ethnic groups at gallery No. 1 (Viet – Muong language group) and No. 2 (Tay – Thai language group) in indoor exhibition.
Time: From May 10 to May 18, 2023.
- Screening documentaries films on cultural heritages of ethnic groups with less than 10,000 population.
Place: At the museum’s cinema room.
Time: From May 10 to May 18, 2023.
- Program “‘Learning about the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups” and cultural heritage education programs of the Museum” online form.
Time: From April 25 to May 15, 2023.

- Coordinating with the Literature and Art Association of Thai Nguyen city to organize a painting and photo contest with the theme: “Museum with Vietnamese cultural heritage” (Attached contest rules).
The selected works will serve the communication and education of the museum.

Marking: From May 11 to May 15, 2023.
Exhibition of awarded and high quality works: From May 16-17, 2023.
Announcement and awarding of prizes: May 18, 2023.
