Delegation of culture – information – us embassy in Vietnam visiting the museum of the cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups.

On April 14, 2022, the cultural delegation of the US Embassy, ​​led by Ms. Pamnella De Volder – Culture – Information Counselor – and Ms. Genevieve Judson-Jourdain – Deputy Cultural Attaché, US Embassy visited and worked at the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups.

The two sides discussed cooperation opportunities between the US Embassy and the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups. In the immediate future, the two sides are expected to coordinate to carry out a thematic exhibition on the photo series “Colors of ASEAN” by photographer Tran Tan Vinh and the photo collection “Projects sponsored by the US Ambassador’s cultural conservation fund” in August and September 2022 at the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups.

The US Embassy representative mentioned the US Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) for 2023, expert cooperation in the field of preserving artifacts such as: lacquer paintings, fabrics…and with Thai Nguyen university.

 On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Pamnella De Volder wrote down her impressions about the exhibition, experience activities and thanked for the warm welcome of the museum to the delegation.
