On July 23, the survey team of products linking and development tourism between Ho Chi Minh city, represented by the Department of Tourism, tourism businesses has conducted surveys on routes and tourist destinations of 8 provinces in Northeast: Quang Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Vinh Phuc, Tuyen Quang, Bac Giang and Thai Nguyen. In which, the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups is selected to be one of tourist destination in Thai Nguyen province.
The main tourism product of the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups is the indoor and outdoor permanent display system. The indoor display system was built on the basis of ethnic language groups combined with the cultural region, introducing cultural identity of 54 ethnic groups associated with the ecological landscape of each residence area, including 5 galleries. and a solemn space displaying the culture of 10 countries in the ASEAN community. The outdoor display system was built on an area of about 36,000m2, showing the characteristics of ethnic culture in the regions of Vietnam including: Northern high mountains; Valley; Northern plains and midlands; Central coast; Truong Son – Central highlands and Southern delta. Each region has from one to two constructions that highlight the cultural life of ethnic groups in that region such as traditional house of the White Hmongz people in Ha Giang province, the stilt- house of the Tay people in Lang Son, the earthern- wall house of the Nung people in Lang Son, the display area of the five-room traditional house of the Viet people in Bac Ninh, the display area of Poklong tower of the Cham people – Ninh Thuan, the worshiping area of Ngu Ong fish (whale fish), the traditional Rong house of the Ba Na people, or the landscape of the sanctumn of the Phuong pagoda of the Kho Mer people -Tra Vinh .
Each gallery indoor or each house in outdoor exhibition space is inspired by the staff of the Museum of the Cultures of Vietnam’s ethnic groups into objects with dances or sound of musical instruments being shown. That has made a unique difference in the way to serve the public and tourists to the Museum, making the display system more exciting and attractive. Water puppet show, sound of the Hmongz flute in the upland fair, the harmony of the five-sounded orchestra … has conveyed the cultures of ethnic groups in different regions to the viewers, though they are short but full of concise and bring new vitality of the Museum.
Based on impression from the trip, the survey team from Ho Chi Minh city will build inland tours, which will be the focal point connecting Ho Chi Minh city to the Northeastern provinces, in order to promote domestic tourism, supporting tourism to recover after the Covid 19 pandemic, promoting tourism resource values and promoting inter-regional, attracting investment.
